Portreath Arms Comedy Night

Stand up comedy is returning to Portreath. Alongside a set of his own Tom Rodgers will be bringing comedy legends of the south west scene Tom Glover to host and support from Jane Hill. Expect a great night of laughs!

Tom Rodgers
Tom is one of the country's rising stars of the comedy circuit, having placed in the final of many prestigious competitions and gigged all over the country, he has asserted himself on the scene as a solid act anywhere on a line-up. Tom turned pro at the beginning of 2023 after just a few short years. He is high energy, with fresh observations and hilarious tales on Cornish life and living with ADHD. You have likely seen him as the resident MC on one of the many comedy nights and festivals across Cornwall and beyond.He has featured in The Guardian, The West Briton and Cornwall Live.

Tom Glover
Loveable West Country favourite Tom Glover is a highly sought-after act and MC, capable of bringing laughter to any room. Tom combines tales of fatherhood and country living with hilarious observational routines on daily life. In recent times Tom also finished runner up in the prestigious Lastminute Comedy Club Comedian of the Year and reached the finals of the Inaugural Petfringe Comedian of the Year. His infectious personality and playful approach make him an instant hit with audiences, however Tom is perhaps best known for his excellent crowd work and quick wit that have earned him a number of regular compere roles at major venues across the South West. He’s had two successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with split shows and his debut full length solo show was nominated for Best New Show at the 2019 Leicester Comedy Festival Awards before being taken on tour around the UK.

Jane Hill
Jane has been doing stand-up comedy since 2005, performing all around the country. She reached the final of English Comedian of the Year in 2009 and the final of Old Comedian of the Year in 2018.In 2018 and 2019 she took a one-woman show to the Edinburgh Fringe called Addicted to Fun, which got a five-star review.

This will be held in the main bar, doors 6.30pm show to start at 7pm. Limited parking at the venue
